RN, BSN, MSN, CIC, CDI · Founder & Principal Consultant
Elsy Mady, RN, BSN, MSN, CIC, CDI started as an Infection Control Officer in 2001 — Bhannes Medical Center, Lebanon. By 2004 she was running infection control, occupational health, and patient safety for an entire hospital: Hôpital Notre Dame Maritime, Jbeil. Two national accreditation surveys, both the highest ‘A’ rating the Lebanese Ministry of Health awards. Vaccination compliance, 60% to 90%+. Hand hygiene, 46% to 60%+. A pan-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii outbreak, contained. Five Microsoft Access systems built from scratch — OR, Patient Safety, Occupational Health, Radiology Dosimeter Tracking, Continuing Education — because the data infrastructure didn’t exist yet.
Consulting outside her own walls came early too: training staff at an international clinic in Nigeria, a readiness assessment for a Ministry of Health accreditation survey, a new IC department built from the ground up at another hospital. VivaPrevent isn’t a career pivot. It’s what she was already doing, made full-time.
Since relocating to the US: Houston Methodist West. Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Interim placements at Providence Medford Medical Center, Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center, and Jackson Hospital & Clinic.
